New shoes
It was a lovely, sunny Saturday in Bluebell Woods, Penny Farthing and her baby Sally had decided to go shopping. For some (preferably pink) new shoes! As you may not know, Sally loves fashion - anything from shoes to hats. So there they were - cycling towards the new, renovated clothes shop! Here is Sally with her 'model' pose. |
It didn't take them long to pass through the busy village - in Bluebell Woods there are special roads for their bicylces. Eveyone loves using it!
Sally was so excited she jumped out of her seat once her mother had carefully parked. A bit too excited... "Sally! Your hat fell off!"(As you can see I have finished (nearly!) the clothes shop - I will post some pictures soon).
Sally (nearly) falling asleep with her mother's chatting. |
Once the ladies had - finally - finished talking, Penny and Sally started to look at the shoes. Sally saw the ones she wanted right away! The pink, shiny ones - on the top shelf.
Sally was so happy! She tried them on the second that her mother brang them down. Then her happiness disappeared - they didn't fit!!!
Sally's shoes, sadly too small... |
Sally got so sad she even started to cry - the shoes of her dreams were too small.
Ms Butterglove came rushing over as Sally started to hug her mother."What's the matter?" she cried.
"The shoes don't fit me!" sobbed Sally.
"Oh! There is no need to worry about that! The shoes that are there are only for display - I've surely got your size in my product cupboard," said Ms Butterglove, trying to cheer her up.
"Really?" Sally sadly said but with a hint of gratefulness in her voice.
"Yes! I'm sure. Just wait a minute and I'll be right back!"
"Thank you, Angelica" said Penny with a smile.
Then she came - carrying a shoe box! Sally was so happy. Then she tried them on... They fit her! Then she gratefully thanked Ms Butterglove and put them on again!
"Sally! Don't put them on you'll get them dirty!" cried her mother.
Although now there was no way of getting them off her... She said that she would even wear them in her sleep!
